On November 27, InnovÉÉ had the honour of presenting the 2025 RSRI Innovation Award at the ADRIQ Gala to SmartD Technologies and Kamal Al-Haddad, professor atÉTS. This collaborative project, supported by InnovÉÉ and the MEIE, validated a key technological milestone: connecting multiple conversion units in parallel to reach power levels above 50 kW, a technology that improves energy efficiency while reducing businesses' carbon footprint.

This recognition highlights a particularly inspiring model of collaborative research and underscores the concrete impact that technological innovation can have on the environment. This award not only showcases the project leads, but also all the organisations, researchers and institutions that work collectively toward responsible and sustainable innovation.

Since its creation, InnovÉÉ has implemented funding and support programs (such as PSOand INNOV‑R, Horizon Europeprograms, etc.) to support promising projects in the fields of electric energy, transportation electrification, electricity production/distribution/storage, and smart transportation.

Thanks to these support mechanisms, businesses can:

  • Benefit from public funding
  • Access the expertise of research centres and specialized equipment
  • Innovate faster, more efficiently and with shared risk
