Strategic Priorities

This call for projects aims to achieve the following objectives:
 

• Support innovation projects aimed at developing a new product or process, or significantly improving an existing product or process, from the planning stage through to the technology demonstration stage.

• Improve the competitiveness and productivity of businesses, particularly SMEs and innovative businesses with strong growth potential (start-ups).startups).

• Contribute to the integration of innovation into solutions that will give businesses a competitive advantage and generate maximum economic benefits for Québec.

• Ensure the development and consolidation of innovation and development efforts in forward-looking technology sectors.

• Foster collaboration with innovation zone partners and the carrying out of projects that contribute to their strategic development priorities.

• Encourage collaboration between businesses (of all sizes, including young innovative companies), as well as with research and innovation communities, municipalities and cities, to accelerate the development of innovative solutions in strategic sectors.

• Contribute to Québec's recognition as a leader in responsible development.

• Projects must fall within one of the four strategic sectors. 

• Eligible applicants are business consortiums involving at least two Québec businesses, including at least one SME or young innovative company (start-up).

• Eligible projects are those aimed at developing an innovative solution (product, service or process), from the planning stage through to pre-commercialisation, and that have the potential for significant short-term benefits. The solution developed may serve to meet the business's own needs or be intended for sale. 

• The project must comply with at least one principle of theLoi sur le développement durable.
