Call for projects in intelligent robotics and advanced AI
InnovÉÉ and the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP) are joining forces to launch a joint Québec–Korea call for projects to support the development of leading-edge robotics and artificial intelligence technologies in the electric and smart energy and transportation sectors.
This call for projects reflects a shared commitment to strengthening international research and development collaborations, by bringing together Québec and Korean innovation ecosystems around projects with strong industrial, technological and economic potential.
Projects must fall within InnovÉÉ's strategic research and innovation areas, namely energy and smart transportation, and must notably cover the following areas of application:
- Autonomous and intelligent robotics
- Advanced artificial intelligence (multimodal AI, Vision–Language–Action, LLM)
- Safe human–robot interaction
- Simulation-to-Real (Sim-to-Real) learning
- Applications in complex and dynamic environments (industry, energy, infrastructure, mobility)
Funding
The portion of the project carried out in Québec is funded through the Research and Innovation Support Program (PSO):
- Funding can cover up to 40% of the eligible expenses of the research institutions involved in the project.
- Industry partners must cover a minimum of 20% of the project's total costs.
- Maximum InnovÉÉ grant amount: $1.5M* per project over 3 years.
Funding for Korean partners is provided by IITP, according to its own rules, terms and eligibility criteria.
Each jurisdiction funds its own national partners, as part of a coordinated evaluation process.
*This amount includes the portion of management fees that the MEIE pays to InnovÉÉ for program management, as well as indirect research costs (IRC) collected by eligible research institutes.
Application deadline: April 29, 2026
